No. Without one you get thirty-second clips of everything, and every other part of the app works normally. With Apple Music you get full songs.
Is this another social network?
No feed, no comments, no messaging. Follow someone, react to a song, drop a song into a wave — that's it.
What do you know about where I am?
Roughly which part of a city you are in, so "close by" means something. Never a map, never a distance, never a pin on you.
Can I use it under 18?
From 13. Under-18 accounts start with personalisation off, are visible only to people they follow both ways, and never appear on public boards.
